Lowell Spanish AcademyLowell is located in the beautiful northeast corner of Massachusetts. It is the home of over 105,000 people, with over 15,000 residents of Hispanic/Latino descent. The city has inspired the work of several famous artists. Famous American author Jack Kerouac was born in Lowell, and set several of his novels there, including Doctor Sax and Visions of Gerard. It is also home to the Whistler House Museum of Art, home and birthplace of famed artist James MacNeil Whistler. Lowell hosts numerous ethnic festivals including the Lowell Folk Festival and Lowell Southeast Asian Water Festival. The Lowell Puerto Rican Festival is the area’s biggest event celebrating Puerto Rican heritage.
